Supplies Needed for a New Puppy

We have compiled a list of items we believe a new parent of a puppy must have.

The Basics:

Food and water dishes (glass).
A crate
Dog Bed(s). Most of our beds are Coolaro beds. Our Huskies love these beds. Our Dobermans, prefer a plush bed.
Harness, Collar, and Leash. I will recommend waiting to buy this until you have the pup/dog. Since each brand sizing chart is different.
Name tag. This will help if the pup/dog gets lost.
Toys. Most of the pups love plush toys or balls. Chewing toys are a must for pups.
Waste pick-up bags
Training Treats. We recommend Bark’s treats, Zuko, or any Hill Science Diet treat.

Grooming:

Shampoo & Conditioner:

These are the shampoos and conditioners we use on our doggies.

Adult Siberian Huskies When They Are Not Blowing Their Coat:

We recommend using Tropiclean Perfect Fur Dog Thick Double Coat (orange bottle). This shampoo leaves a long-lasting fragrance. We have been recommending and using this since 2022.

Adult Siberian Huskies When They Are Blowing Their Coat:

We highly recommend the brand FURmantior.

The shampoo will be FURminator deShedding shampoo.

For the conditioner, it will be FURminator deShedding Ultra Premium Dog Conditioner. This will leave your Huskies’ coat smooth.

We have been using and recommending this since 2019.

Puppy Siberian Huskies & Doberman Pinschers:

We recommend Tropiclean berry & coconut deep cleansing dog shampoo.

We have been using and recommending this since 2022.

Adult Doberman Pinschers:

We recommend Nature’s Specialties Plum Silky Ultra Concentrated Dog Shampoo.

This will provide a shine to your Doberman’s coat.

We have been using and recommending this since 2023.

Stay away from the brand Hartz. This brand has caused diseases or even death in dogs.

Brushes:

All of these brushes we have been using and recommending since 2019.

Bodhi Dog Grooming Pet Shampoo Brush. This is during bath time and for both breeds.
Dog Rake Shedding Brush. Only For Huskies.
Top Paw Short to medium brush. Only For Huskies.
Hertzko slicker brush. Only For Huskies.
FURminator adjustable deMatter brush. Only For Huskies.

Other Items:

Nail Clippers/Trimmer.
Ear Cleaner. We recommend Curaseb Antiseptic Ear Flush. Been recommending and using this since 2020.
We recommend SHELANDY Groomer Partner Pet Hair Force Dryer Dog Grooming Blower with Heater. We have been recommending and using this since 2020. Only For Huskies.

Food:

A good quality food puppy food is highly recommended.

SC For Puppies:

For the SC family, we feed Hill’s Science Diet Chicken Meal and Brown Rice puppy. We have been recommending and using this since 2019.

SC for Adults:

We feed our adults, Hill’s Science Diet Chicken Meal and Barley Adult. We have been using and recommending this since 2019. We saw a big difference in their coats and energy levels with this brand.

NC for Puppies.

For the NC family, we feed Diamond puppy.

NC Adults:

For the NC family, we feed Diamond adult.

Other Recommendations:

We also recommend Purino Pro Plan.

We do not recommend a grain-free diet since this potentially causes DCM (heart condition) with doggies which can cause death (also not recommended by vets and cardiologists). Learn More…
