Mila (Velma) – Reputable Husky Breeders

Mila is ready for her forever home.

Here are photos of our Reputable Husky Breeders,  Mila. You can see photos of her from when she was a few days old to the most recent pics. We hope you enjoy these cute puppy pictures.

ABOUT MILA:

  • Reason for Returning Mila: The former family no longer had time to care for her.

  • Training: She knows “Sit”, “Paw”, and is crate trained.

    Working on:

    House training: very well.

To Not Jump On People and other dogs: On people, she is doing well. She is learning that jumping on other dogs is not allowed (work in progress)

Crate Threshold Training: She is learning that when I say “Mila” she is allowed to leave her crate when I open it.

  • Does she get along with other dogs?: “She loves other dogs” – Former family. She LOVES them. However, due to excitement, she jumps on them. Therefore can be rough. We are working with her to become a polite doggie.

  • Does she get along with cats?: The former family nor us have cats. Most likely behave the same way she behaves with new dogs.

  • Does she get along with children?: “She gets along with kids.” – Former family. I have noticed she becomes tense around children. However, once she sees they are not going to harm her, she relaxes and starts playing with them.

  • What treats does she love?: Zuke’s treats. If she still has treats left a bag will be provided.

  • More Info? I have the traditional Siberian Husky energy.

If you are sitting on the ground. I will use you as a chair. You will see me sitting on Italy (a breeder) in the video above!

I love the wind and will lift my head when it’s windy. You will also see this in my video.

I LOVE meeting new people. However, I have submissive urination. I will pee when I meet new people. This is a fear behavior response.

I have fear reactivity. Fear reactivity in dogs refers to a dog’s tendency to overreact with behaviors when they feel scared or threatened by something in their environment.  I will snap and automatically place my head down. Italy has a video of this if you wish to see it. There are 2 ways to trigger this: (1) fast movement of hands when I am in a new environment without my family. (2) When hugging too tightly.

Both of these are due to a lack of socialization when growing up.  Therefore, to stop fear reactivity and submissive urination, I will need positive reinforcement, confidence-building, and desensitization. The breeders are working on this, and I am doing much better. Especially the hugging. I know

I am a friendly, alert, intelligent, outgoing, active, agile, joyful, AFFECTIONATE, lively, playful, kind, and trusting puppy.
